Five jobs, and what actually changed

Each of these started as a task somebody was doing by hand — a register at a counter, a whiteboard, a paper job card, photographs on WhatsApp. Written up here as the situation, what we built, and what happened afterwards.

Order book app for counter staff

The situation

Orders were written in a register at the counter and re-typed into Tally at night. Two people, three hours, every day.

What we built

An Android app for the counter, a web dashboard for the office, and a nightly export in the format their accountant already used.

What changed

Order entry cut from ~3 hours to under 20 minutes a day
1,400+ orders logged in the first quarter
Zero re-typing errors reported since launch

Catalogue website with private buyer login

The situation

Stock was shared over WhatsApp as photographs. Buyers abroad could not see what was available without asking.

What we built

A public site for the firm and a password-protected stock catalogue where each buyer sees only their agreed rates.

What changed

32 registered buyers in six months
WhatsApp stock enquiries down noticeably
Enquiries now arrive with the lot number attached

E-commerce store with UPI checkout

The situation

A single retail shop wanting to sell across Gujarat without hiring a separate online team.

What we built

A store with 600 products, UPI and card checkout, GST invoices, and shipping labels the shop staff print themselves.

What changed

Online orders in month one: 41
Average order value higher than counter sales
Ads running at a cost per order the owner set

Member app and attendance system

The situation

Membership renewals were tracked on a whiteboard. Lapsed members were noticed weeks late.

What we built

A member app for schedules and renewals, plus automatic WhatsApp reminders seven days before expiry.

What changed

Renewal rate improved across all three branches
Front desk no longer maintains the whiteboard
Reminders sent automatically, no staff time

Job card and dispatch tracker

The situation

Each machine order passed through six departments on a paper job card that regularly went missing.

What we built

A web system where each department marks its stage complete, and the office sees where every order stands.

What changed

Order status answered in seconds, not phone calls
Six months of history searchable
Paper job cards retired

A note on what is not here

Some of the best work cannot be shown

A good deal of what this studio builds sits behind a login — internal billing systems, dispatch trackers, staff tools, private stock catalogues. Those clients would rather their competitors did not study how their operation runs, and we agree with them.

So the list above is not everything, and it deliberately avoids screenshots of anything a client asked us to keep private. If you want to see something closer to your own trade, ask — we can usually arrange a walkthrough with the client's permission, or show a neutral version of the same system.

Judge the work by whether the daily problem went away, not by how the screens look in a portfolio.
